Hornby Shines at Darts NZ Nationals!
A massive congratulations to our nine-strong contingent who proudly represented the Hornby Club Darts Section at the recent Darts NZ Nationals in Pukekohe! The team’s spirit and skill were on full display across a huge number of events.
A Special Nod of Thanks:
A big thank you to Andrea Coburn for stepping into the Ladies’ Pairs at the last minute. This kind of club-first attitude is exactly what makes our section so strong!
Top Finishers & Standout Performances:
- Our players battled through tough national competition to achieve some fantastic results:
- Top 4 Finishes (Main Round): A phenomenal effort by Jordan Whyte & Sarah Pitama, and the pairing of Maata Atkins & Andrea Coburn!
- Top 16 Finishes (Main Round): Well done to Sarah Pitama & Lee Brinsdon on a strong run in a highly competitive field.
- Men’s Singles Excellence: Special congratulations to Jordan Whyte for reaching the Top 4 in the Men’s Singles.
- Consolation Round Success: Shout-out to Ashlee Regnaud & Leana Harris for making the last 16 in the Ladies’ Pairs consolation.
Well done to every player who flew the Hornby flag — you all did us proud! Winter League Update: The Final Arrows are Flying!
As we head into the business end of the season, our teams are perfectly positioned for a thrilling finals campaign!
- Premier Grade: In a nail-biting finish, Hornby A secured a fantastic 2nd place in the main round, narrowly losing a winner-takes-all match to Kereru. A tremendous effort!
- 1st Grade: Hornby C is holding firm in 4th place.
- 2nd Grade: It’s Hornby domination! Congratulations to Hornby E for winning
- The 2nd Grade main round, with Hornby F finishing a superb 2nd!
- 3rd Grade: Just two rounds remain — let’s finish strong!
The stage is set for an exciting last few round. Best of luck to all our teams!
