Hornby Players Shine in Singles Championships!
The 2nd and 3rd Grade Singles Championships were played last Sunday, 21st September, at The Papanui Club. Congratulations to all players, especially our Hornby representatives who did us proud!
Singles Championships Results:
- 2nd Grade: Liam Walton – 3rd=
- 3rd Grade: Aaron Lewis – 2nd= & Highest Break (112)

Speights Shield Success
A fantastic effort from our Hornby darts team — Doug, Lance, Jordan & Eliott — in the multi-sport Speights Shield competition on Sunday, 21st September at the Hornby Club. With darts, cards, indoor bowls, pool, and a combined quiz all contested, Hornby once again retained the shield against eight competing clubs — with our team winning the darts section to secure the title.

In Memory of Jean Hutchison
We are saddened to share the passing of Jean Hutchison, a long-standing
and much-loved member of our Darts Section. Jean did an outstanding job running the raffles over many years and always played the game in her own style — throwing a hand dart whenever she pleased. She will be dearly missed by us all.
