October 2024 – Table Tennis Update

The Canterbury Club’s Table Tennis interclub competition has finished for the year for the A/A Res and C/D grades with the B grade finishing up early this month. Hornby’s only success so far was in the C grade.
Our big event for the year was the South Island Club’s Table Tennis Tournament, held this year at the Gore Multisports Complex on the 20th and 21st of September. Of the 26 teams that entered, we made up four, one each in the A, A Res, B, and C grades. Hornby were successful in two events, runners-up in the A Res and C grades. The A Res team: Watson Ou, JinJing Ou and Glenn Ross. The C team: Annie Zhao, Robyn Wilson Grey, Noel Ward and Alison Cook.
