October 2023 – Outdoor Bowls Update

After a couple of quiet months, the Outdoor Bowls members were all looking forward to the new season and their annual bus trip up country to the Coalgate Bowling Club.
The weather was not going to stop 40 keen and enthusiastic members leaving the Club on Sunday 24 September on our wonderful big bus and arriving at Coalgate around 10.15am to some familiar faces, a hot cuppa and a bite to eat.
Teams were selected and the cry was “Let the games begin”. Some would say that time flies when you are having fun and before you know it, the last bowl has been played. By 4pm we were on the bus heading home. Many thanks to our friends at the Coalgate Bowling Club for sharing your club with us and making our day so successful, on and off the green. Our next game is the 29 October at Bowls Hornby. A start time of 12.00 noon.
