May 2025 – Racing Update

A big hello to all our racing section members. It has been a quiet couple months within the Section, except for the Sunday session that was very impromptu.
I apologise for not sending out an email prior to invite all our members, it was purely last minute.
A to Z is well and truly in the swing of it, and it really is luck of the letter for that week, because the following week’s winners are generally completely different.
We have our first annual AGM on Wednesday 21st May up in the Mezzanine at 6.30pm.
Our next Section get together is a Sunday session on 25th May which aligns with the Warriors playing on the big screen. There will be finger food throughout the day, starting at 11.00am. I would love to welcome all existing section members to come on down to have a laugh, punt, beverage and of course there will be a punters club on the day.
Andy Rowe along with Chunky and myself have organized our next outing and we are proud to announce the Inaugural “CHALLENGE CUP“ at Addington Raceway on Sunday 6th July. The cost is $40.00 including return bus ride, race book, food, guest speakers and of course interclub punters comp to be the first winner of this spectacular trophy we have been gifted. Kaiapoi and New Brighton Clubs have put their hand up to challenge us on the day, so it will be a great day out for all.
