July 2024 – Snooker Update

Another busy month for the section as the Snooker season ramps up. Lists are up on the board for those that wish to play Interclub Snooker.
New players are welcome. Come along to a Club night every Thursday at 7pm and make yourself known to Tom Ng the Club Captain.
Two section members ended up playing each other in the final of the Canterbury C grade Snooker. Paul Templeton and Grahame Nobbs. Paul managed to win this encounter. Congratulations to him.
The Canterbury Snooker Pairs were run on Saturday 15 June, hosted by the Hornby Club.
The Section had five pairs entered and a great day was had by all. Section members Rob Redgrove and Brent Jones made the final but were beaten by the Pair Ian Muir and Tony Haerewa.
Our section in-house competitions continue with the club snooker pairs being won by Tom Ng and Grahame Nobbs.
The latest Snooker money raffle of $40 cash was won by Tom Ng.
A reminder to all Club members, two self-service money raffles are running in the Snooker room. The cost is $2 per entry. 30 tickets with a $40 cash first prize. Raffle is drawn in the main bar when sold out.
