December 2023 – Outdoor Bowls Update

With the prospect of fine weather and the Crowe Cup up for grabs, it wasn’t hard to see why the car park at the Bowls Hornby Club was filling up fast on Sunday 26 November.
The Crowe Cup is one of the long-standing trophies that our bowlers are very keen to get their hands on and is a three Bowls Triples event.
Ten teams contested for the Cup. Congratulations go to the winning team of Joycie Wood, Jenny Bodger and Sue Vincent (L to R).
We have a break over xmas but some of our bowlers have entered some Clubs New Zealand events during that time. These are being held in Christchurch and Oamaru. We wish them well in their endeavours
