Snooker Update – March 2026

Hello members,
Our AGM was held on 12th February.
Mark Collis was elected as Chairman but has since withdrawn. Brent Jones will remain Chairman for this year.
Secretary: Mike Vermeulen
Treasurer: David Fom Ward
Committee members: Paul Aitken, Wayne Johnson, Graham Davies, Bob Bain, Tom Ng, Gary Olliver, and welcome to Ian Muir who didn’t make the AGM but is keen to take part.
Club nights have resumed and Tom Ng will be running the first tournament of the year, the Junior Billiards, on Thursday 5th March. Entrants for this should put their names up on the notice board.
The annual membership fee of $20 is now due and may be paid to Tom Ng on Club night or to David Fom Ward.
Returning members will notice the entrance door to the Snooker Room has been moved. This will avoid the need for members to walk through the restaurant, a better outcome for restaurant users and for us.
The cash raffle in the Snooker Room ($2 per number) is starting up again with Paul Aitken in charge. He will get the draw done using the raffle table electronic draw machine and pay out the cash prize of $40. A notebook result record is also supplied on the raffle cabinet in the Snooker Room for members to check results.
