September 2025 – Indoor Bowls Update

Welcome members, hopefully warmer and drier weather will be in front of us.
The Canterbury Veteran Triples played at the end of July was won by Mike King, Ann Graham and Jenny Hamilton. Congratulations.
Third equal was Keren Beckett and Dave Jamieson playing with Brad Henry through the Tui Club.
Bevan Matthews, Bev Diamond and Dave Jamieson qualified and were runner-up in the Canterbury Champion of Champions Triples played at the CIBA.
The winners of the Veteran Fours Played recently were Mike, Dixon Chapman, Ann and Jenny. Mike remains in excellent winning form. Well done.
Vicki and Mark Daley playing through St Paul’s were runner-up.
Chris Matthews who entered through the Celtic Club, recently won the Canterbury Champion of Champion Singles. Congratulations Chris.
Canterbury Chartered Club Bush Kennedy recently played at the CIBA had three Hornby Men’s teams entered. Congratulations to the Hornby A team of Mike, Darryl Gallagher, Justin Thompson and John Barltrop who won overall.
The Ladies’ Invitation event was held concurrently. Well done to our Hornby Ladies Team of Vicki, Bev, Jenny and Rose who were third.
A great day enjoyed by all and played in great spirit.
