September 2021 Indoor Bowls Update

Due to going into Alert Level 4 and bad weather on one of our Club nights, we only played one night in August.
This was the Triple’s Championship and was won by Julie Dalley, Pat Hartland and Warren Hobbs.
Katrina Wealleans was picked for the South Island team to play against the North Island team as third in the Ladies fours in the North verses South test. Over the three-game event, her team won one and narrowly lost the other two. A great effort.
Ashley Diamond, representing Hornby, was also picked for the South Island Team as the Men’s Singles player. Ashley won all three games to win the individual medal. Well done.
Congratulations to our members that were selected for the Canterbury Rep team to play against South Canterbury. They are Dave Bullock, Gary Ashby, Mike King, Dave Philpott, Katrina Wealleans, Julie Dalley, Bev Diamond, Greg Hill, Jenny Hamilton and Justin Thompson. Canterbury had a convincing win over South Canterbury.
