Racing Update – December 2025

HO HO HO … Merry Christmas to all Club and Racing section members. That time of the year has nearly arrived (Christmas) which also sees a return of Fantastic Grass track racing. Christchurch experienced a fantastic week of Horse Racing over Cup week with Australia Horses Dominating in the Harness side with Kingman taking out the NZ pacers Cup, and (Gus) also from Australia winning the Interdominion Trot. Now for those lucky enough to be at Riccarton Park races on Cup Day witnessed a complete roller coaster of weather and some of the outfits, after the rain and hail, were not wearing the way they were intended, But I’ll STOP this story there …. Lol
Our section had our annual outing to the Motukarara Races on 23rd November and thanks to all who attended for being a great bunch of people, we all had awesome day out, so from Andy and myself I say a BIG Thanks for making our day out so enjoyable. Well, that’s about it from me and I don’t want to waffle on too long, so over the Summer please all back some WINNERS and have a quiet beverage or TWO and most importantly stay safe as we want to see all your smiling faces next year … Merry Christmas ALL.
