October 2025 – Indoor Bowls Update

Welcome members, our indoor bowling season is nearing its end. Only our AGM and prizegiving remain.
Justin Thompson won the Drawn Canterbury Triples with Chris and Norm Ellis. This was a new event for Canterbury where players were graded and then draw into teams. Congratulations Justin.
Canterbury Chartered Clubs Championship Fours – 3rd equal was Mike King, Neville Lancaster, Jenny Hamilton and Marie Lancaster.
Canterbury Chartered Clubs Champion of Champions were all played recently at Richmond over one day.
Congratulations to Chris Matthews and Dave Jamieson, winners of pairs and Mike King and Diane Currie, winners of Mixed Pairs. Two out of five winners, from Hornby, two from Ashburton and one from Papanui.
The final Canterbury Championship event for the season was held recently at the CIBA.
Runner-up in the fours were Mike King, Justin Thompson, Ann Graham and Jenny Hamilton. Awesome effort.
