October 2025 – All Sports Update

On Sunday the 21st of October, Hornby Club hosted seven other clubs who were attempting to lift the Speights Memorial Shield, from Hornby. As defending holders
of this very prestigious Shield our format was simple. A four person team to play in their respective field. Those being, Cards, Darts, Indoor Bowls, and finally Pool. Visiting clubs from Ashburton, Rangiora T&C, Kaiapoi as well as local clubs made this a very successful event. Massive shout out to all staff and volunteers for their efforts on the day. Once again Hornby proved too strong across the field, and we narrowly managed to retain this Shield.
