October 2023 – Travel Update

Hello to all,
Welcome to Spring!! One really does not know what to expect with the weather each day.
Derek has had to cancel the trip to Methven due to the fact that the hotel he was looking at booking does not accept any bookings until the ski season is completely over. There is however a day trip arranged for 29 October to Hanmer.
The cost for this is just $20 and you choose your own entertainment in Hanmer in way of lunch, pools, walks etc. The notice for this is on the notice board. The usual procedure applies, you will need to put your name on the list, you pay money into the office in an envelope marked with your name and ‘Hanmer’.
The Christmas party is arranged for Friday 15 December and tickets will be available for this at the next meeting. The cost for Christmas dinner and music is $30.
As usual, we had a great turnout to our monthly meeting. The next meeting will be 7pm Monday 16 October.
