November 2025 – Indoor Bowls Update

Hi Members,
Hope everyone is standing up to this atrocious wind and weather we’ve been having lately, and that everyone is safe and well.
The indoor bowls season has concluded.
We did have some members who travelled down to the Alexandra Blossom Festival Bowls Tournament beginning of October.
John Barltrop, Mark Daley, and Keren Beckett, playing with Brian Finlay, reached the quarter-finals in the Fours.
Bev Diamond, playing with Graham Low and Browyn Carse (Southland) and Sean Rennwandt (North Wellington), were runners-up in the Fours. (photo attached)

Mark and Brian qualified but were unfortunately out in the 1st round.
Another great tournament was attended by bowlers from at least 8 other associations from Canterbury down to Southland.
This event offers valuable opportunities to compete with bowlers from various provinces who are not typically encountered during the season. It also serves as an excellent conclusion to the competitive year.
Our AGM, prizegiving and meal is to be held Sunday, 2nd November. Hope to see everyone there as a wind-up to our season until March.
