We are into the busy time for the section with our in-house tournaments well under way and interclub in full swing.
Congratulations to Roger Tarry and Leo Tafu for winning the Peach-Walker Scotch Pairs, coming from 0-3 down to win 4-3. A good match enjoyed by everyone except the runners-up.
Barry Henderson and Letitia Jackson snaffled the Mixed Pairs.
The June Smith ladies Singles was a close match fought out between Louise Kerr and Aileen Barnes. Louise came out on top.
On Easter Sunday, we held a bit of a fundraiser to help with costs for running the 2026 Masters and Ladies Nationals at Hornby. A single round robin competition fought out through the day where Alan Robertson took the prize home after dropping one match all day to the eventual runner-up Barry Henderson.
Interclub is a bit of a mixed season so far. Premier divisions Hornby Gold is sitting first equal three weeks into the first round. Div 1 Hornby Silver and Hornby Spartans are slugging away mid to low table. Same in Div 2 with the Hornby Green and Hornby Diamondz teams.
Div 3 has Hornby Black in the lead for the division with Hornby Panthers and Quesaders bookending the other end of the table.
