May 2021 Snooker Update

Hello people,
the section has had its first in-house Tournament. It was the drawn pairs. Here are the following results. First semi, Tom Ng and Peter White beat Andy Becker and Brian Eggelar 2 1. The second semi, Geoff Baldwin and Paul Templeton beat Bob Bain and Bruce Tibble 2 1. The final, Tom and Peter beat Geoff and Paul 2 0. Thanks to all that played.
The section is now conducting the Handicap Singles. It is a lot of banter and good fun.
To all who are interested in having a game at Holt Place you must be members of Hornby Club to qualify. Geoff has received many enquiries about playing at Holt Place from non-members of Hornby Club, but as we are a sub-section, we have to abide by the Clubs rules.
The Club had a Special General meeting a few weeks ago and a slideshow of the new extensions were shown and now people fully realize why the delay has been caused and the opening date pushed back.
Peter Chamberlain has also had a spell in hospital and is now recovering along with Brent S, Brian E and John G. All are making good progress; we seem to be a holding pen for Lamb and Hayward. Come on guys get your act together.
A reminder Subs are due and at $2 a visit, it is cheap as.
