May 2021 Pool Update

This month has seen the start of our Premier divisions kicking off their inter-club season on 30 March.
This means that all divisions have now started. It is early days, but our teams are ticking away nicely and improving with each game.
We only had two in-house tournaments in March and April. The first was the Josie Bodger Memorial Div 2 / 3 singles. This was taken out by Randel Esnard winning over Jan Devereux. It was good to see some new faces turn up to play in this tournament.
The second one was the Jamie Reece B Grade and was taken out by a new member to Hornby, in Kale Edwards 3 – 1 over Letitia Jackson.
March and April have been relatively quiet months all round, tournament wise but please do keep an eye out on the Hornby Facebook page and section notice board at the Club for any tournaments coming up. May looks to have a few Canterbury tournaments on leading up to South Island Competitions in Nelson in early June.
