May 2021 Golf Update

Hello all,
About 26 players headed out to the Waimakariri Golf Course for the Sexton Trophy. The weather was fine, but a cool nor-wester prevailed. The scenery was beautiful to say the least.
The Sexton Trophy is a drawn pairs game. The winners were Richard Hampton and Kevin Sisson with a combined nett of 146. Others with good results were Peter Halliwell with a nett 73, Steve Lambert 73, Jack Kingi Hazel and Andrew Artera (Raro) both 74. The ladies’ winner was Glenda Kingi Hazel with a very good Nett 74. The next Game for the section is on 9 May at Greendale with a 9.30am start.
It is the first round of the Club Champs, but new members are most welcome to play. Put your name up on the noticeboard at the Club and just rock up at 9am on the day. Anyone interested in having a go give Geoff a buzz on 02102935971 and leave a message.
A walk on the golf course is good for the mind and your health so let’s give it a go.
