May 2021 Darts Update

April has seen the start of our Wednesday night Winter round competition.
We have nine teams this season, the most teams from a WMC in the Canterbury comp. We have eight new players, and we wish them all the best.
This month we have had the Cricket pairs won by Gary Jones and Mark Jones (not related lol) and runners up Lance Odgers and Elliot Hitchings. The cricket fours was also held and won by Lance, Elliot, Jordan Whyte and Kayden Milne.
The Solway pairs runners up were Lance Odgers and Andrea Coburn.
We are up to Round Four of our 26-week round, so there are plenty more competitions to enter.
Kayden Milne is the current South Island Youth Champion and is heading to Pukekohe to strive for the National Title in July. We only have the one entry for the Nationals this year due to Covid cancellation concerns and a lack of reasonable accommodation. There are only 15 attendees from the Canterbury area this year.
Templeton RSA have kindly offered four boards for us to play on, as we cannot provide facilities at the Hornby Club at present and we thank them for providing this facility.
