March 2022 Cards Update

Hello to all members, with a special welcome this month, to our Card Section Members
As per our current situation, we just have to wait until we are out of the Red Traffic Light Setting to have our sporting sections up and running again within our Hornby club.
Our Chairperson has been advised by at least 12 new members that they wish to join our section to play regularly. We look forward to this.
I have enclosed photos from our Breakup Hamper night Function, held prior to Christmas last year.
We have cancelled our Hornby 6 handed euchre tournament, which was to be held on 6 March. We are still awaiting clarification if Richmond Club are able to host The Clubs NZ South Island Steinlager Trophy on Sun 13 March. A team of eight players will play.
Our Card Section AGM will be held on Thursday 28 April, we will advise further details next month, but please save the date.
Our Saturday Interclub Tournament, with 26 players, playing either euchre or crib each week, starts on Sat 30 April, with two rounds of seven games. The last Saturday will be Saturday 30 July.
