Managers Report – October 2023

Monday 2 Oct, 2023

Hello Members,

It’s been fantastic to see you all supporting the Club so well. Our Sections have been busy with events, and our members and guests have been attending and watching the Rugby World Cup Breakfasts and Warriors Finals games. It was great to have Hornby Hockey back for their end-of-season prize giving as well.

Madsens’ Grease, Beach Boys & Jersey Boys concert was a real hit for the guests and our members, and the Father’s Day V8 promotion was well received and won by Lorinda Cox.

Quiz night continues monthly, on the first Wednesday of each month until May when it returns weekly, May until Labour Day 2024. These have been great successes, thank you.

Food and Beverages

Our $12 Monday and Tuesday lunch specials continue to sell well. Get in there between 11am and 2pm to get your small roast or small fish and chips.

We have a school holiday competition running in Chalmers for the first couple of weeks of the month, so come on down Wednesday to Saturday to try and win yourself one of three family passes to Willowbank.

Raffles

The Raffle table has gone well again this last month and it was great to have some Whitebait to raffle off. Thank you to the Travel Section for your support during the month on Wednesday and Sunday. Please note the Christmas Ham raffles start this month.

Again, friendly reminder to please have your tickets available to be counted, we need to be accurate here as the profits from the raffle table go back to funding the sections of the Club.
