Managers Report – February 2026

Hi all,
Welcome back for 2026. It is great to see you all busy around the Club, and looking forward the activity the sections have booked already is fantastic..!! Raffles have been busy in the first couple of weeks and our meeting spaces have had a lot of use with corporate and family events in January. Hopefully a proper summer is on its way and we will see some sun in February and March.

We have a steady month around the Club, kicking off with the reopening of Chalmers Restaurant with its updated layout, Bingo and Quiz in the first week then:

• Waitangi weekend,
• the Family Picnic
• Superbowl
• Valentines Day
• Gazza in the Café on the 15th
• Cricket and Tennis on the Big Screen, and
• Super Rugby Kicking off later in the month

Looking forward

We have made some changes to the Chalmers end of the Club. The restaurant has a different flow to it with the shifting of the hallway to the meeting rooms not over by the courtyard, the Snooker room door is at the close end of the wall and the Playground is now in its own space. These are all changes initiated due to feedback from the survey last year, so thank you for your input. We have some further changes to come so keep an eye out for announcements in the next few months.

In the Bar we will be giving away two Webber baby-Q BBQ’s. One on Friday the 13th and the other on Friday the 27th. To enter buy a drink at Legends Bar and put the entry ticket in the box to be in the draw. This is a members only draw.

Food & Beverage

Check out the Speights Summit Ultra Special from Lion, and the updated Cocktail special with the team.
The weekly food specials are outlined on the Events Calendar and we have an additional Superbowl Special for the gameday, Monday.
Chalmers menu has been updated for the month and Legends and Pavilion menus will be updated before the end of February.

Gaming Room

Last month we had a new machine installed and it has been popular. Apologies for the delay on the game swap, this month we will have the game update on machine 9 to replace JetSetter. We hope that you are enjoying the changes. As always, please continue to be respectful of our staff completing more frequent and deliberate interactions with yourselves to meet the obligations of the updated laws. Remember to bet responsibly.
