Managers Report – December 2025

Hi and happy festive season,

What a great November, Melbourne Cup, a busy Bingo, Cup & Show week, the AB’s, Cricket, Super Cars wrapping up for the year & a bit of F1 with Liam securing a drive for 2026..!!

We finished November with the Old Timers function, sharing a fun afternoon with long serving Senior members of the Club in the Event Centre for over 250 members.

We have kicked into function season with the Club being busy entertaining regular guests and new people and businesses. Please make them all feel welcome and show them how good it is to be members of the great Club you have created.

On the Music front we saw Mac & Mates twice last month, both times in Legends Bar. We will be doing the same on 5 December, welcoming X-Files to the Club in Legends Bar again.

Our regulars continue and we have DnD Showband on New Years Eve, so book in NOW and join us for a great night.

Promotion and Draws: December is the biggest month of the year at Hornby Club for Promotions

• Earlybird membership kicking off on 1 December with the winners being drawn on 17 December – Renew or Join 1-17 December, and be at the draw to win (conditions apply)
• 12 Days of Christmas – Online AND in the Club
• Fridays – Beer Cooler Give Away – Make a purchase in the Club during the week and be at the Club for the draw each Friday of the month at 6pm.
• All Sports Raffle – Announced in December
• Christmas Bonanza – Sunday 21 December 6pm – Be here to WIN
• Raffles – Hams are flying off the Raffle table, and don’t forget the Meat trays.

Food and Beverage

We have a change-up in our weekly food offerings for the month:

•Monday and Tuesday $15 small roast or small Fish and Chips remains
•Long weekend special for Summer

Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday: Pizza and Beer, or Burger and Beer– A great night to catch up and share a pizza.

Sliders continue for the summer months.

Christmas Buffet Lunch and Dinners 7, 14 and 21 December are getting VERY full. Book in fast if you haven’t already.

Please note, the Bingo and Quiz have a break in January and restart in February on the first Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

Gaming room
Last month, we had a new machine installed and it has been popular. This month we will have a game update on machine 9 to replace JetSetter. For those that like this type of entertainment offering, we hope that you are enjoying the changes. Please continue to be respectful of our staff completing more frequent and deliberate interactions with yourselves to meet the obligations of the updated laws. Remember to bet responsibly.
