June 2024 – Darts

The darts section has had its A G M and things have mostly stayed the same, but we have three new faces on the committee. They are Mike, William and Leana. Welcome, we hope you enjoy your time with us.
The main topic was getting our Friday nights going again, as they haven’t got going since the rebuild and covid. We had a calendar out and have an all sports night on May 10 and Eddie McCann night on the 24th. The Eddie McCann is a club night and has points awarded for attending and performance and runs all year.
We have eight teams in the winter interclub and although early days, most are performing well. The next main event are the nationals and another trip to Invercargill in July. We have some very good players, so I’m looking forward to that.
Looking towards June and it is cooler since I wrote the top part.
This year’s World Series is returning to Hamilton in August and our young star has qualified already and now is going to Aussie to try for their event. Good luck Kayden.
