June 2023 Travel Update

Hello to everyone,
As notified in the May newsletter, the travel section now has a new chairperson, Derek Shearer.
Also, as advised in last month’s newsletter, it was decided at the AGM in April to keep our annual fees at the same price of $20 per annum, with a reduction to $15 if payment is made by 31 May 2023. These fees are now due for payment. I know there are many who have paid your renewal fees, but to the rest, fees are now due at the reduced price of $15.
Derek has arranged a mid-winter party at the Event’s Centre at the Club on 16 June. There will be an excellent band playing from 7pm to 11pm and the usual great supper will be put on. To attend this function, you will require a ticket. To obtain this ticket, you need to arrange a time with Derek to collect the ticket and pay the money at the same time. Please, as was requested at the meeting, do not put the money in the travel box, because how do you get your ticket? Also, apart from Derek, Diane Heath and myself, Lyn Wright, do carry tickets with us, so if you see us at the Club, you can obtain then as long as you are a paid-up member.
