June 2021 Pool Update

Hi guys and gals
Where has the year gone! We are in May already and before we know it, we will be halfway through the year.
We only had one in-house tournament in April and that was the Booth Anderson Open Singles. This was taken out by Corey Reid, who has now gone back-to-back, having won last year as well. He won over Roger Tarry. We had big numbers again this year which was great to see.
Canterbury has their Open Singles coming up at the end of May. Hornby has 24 players playing in the Open Singles and 12 in the Ladies.
The South Island Ladies and Open events are being held in early June and again there are quite a few from Hornby travelling up to Club Waimea (Richmond, Nelson) to play in this prestigious event, so I want to wish all those that are going up there all the best.
