June 2021 Golf Update

Hello all,
The Golf section headed out to Greendale Golf course for the first round of the Club Champs. A beautiful fine day, plenty of run (suits us older players) and indulged in Kevin (Moggy) Hughes magic BBQ. What more do you want?
In the Senior Grade, Mike James had a gross 70. The Nett leader is Roydon Lambert. The Intermediate Gross Leader is Jack Kingi Hazel with a great 78. Leading the Nett is Andrew (Raro) Ataera with a 65. The Junior A Gross Leader is Colin Ellison with an 89. The Nett Leader is David Benn with a 70. In the Junior B Wayne Scott leads the Gross with a 95 and John Poole is in front of the Nett with a 67. In the Ladies Grade, Raylene Adler shot an 85 off the stick, a good effort. The best Nett was Janette Benn with an excellent 67. The Club Champs are the best two scores out of three, so most of us are still in the game. On 5 and 6 of June we have four teams competing in the South Island Mixed Champs and good result are expected.
The sections next game is at Rangiora Golf Club on 12 May, with a 9.30 start. To enter just write your name up on the sections notice board in the foyer at the Club. New members are most welcome.
