Thank you for dedicating your time and energy to supporting the Hornby Club and its members.
Thank you also to all the members that attended our AGM and voted. They are important events, and we appreciated everyone who made these a priority in their calendars. Excise tax is increasing from 1 July. Our Treasurer will be making an announcement and adjusting prices at Hornby Club from 15 July.
Looking back
We had a busy June, with Kings birthday weekend at the start of the month hosting a Snooker tournament and Boxing upstairs, as well as many important Club events, including elections and the AGM, the first Bingo day, and a fantastic CCR event on the 29th. We also held a second Oyster Lunch. It was great to see the weekly quiz nights busy with teams giving the competition their best effort.
Looking Forward
Weekly Winter Bingo held every Tuesday morning and All Blacks taking on England on 6 July. On the Big Screen we will have Wimbledon Tennis 1–14 July, and the Paris 2024 Olympics starting on 26 July alongside the Warriors, Super Cars 5–7 & 18–21 July. We’ll do our best to squeeze all the event and/or replays on the Big Screen, like F1 replays on Mondays.
For the family, we will have the Family Fun Day on Sunday 14 July from 1-4pm at the Hornby Club.
