February 2021 Pool Update

Happy New Year to everyone. I hope you all had a great Xmas and most of you got to see in the New Year with loved ones.
At the end of November / early December we held the last two of our in-house tournaments for 2020, which were the ladies pairs and the Josie Bodger Memorial Division 2 and 3. These were taken out by Sherralee Boyce (who made it a double by taking out the ladies’ singles as well) and Clare Shanaher winning over Aileen Barnes and Liz Hullen. The Josie Bodger was taken out by Roger Ford over Alex Nicol.
With us now being almost through January things will start to ramp up, so in the coming months there will be a few tournaments on the horizon. Please keep an eye out on the pool section notice board as well as the Hornby Pool Facebook page. Summer league has also started up again on a Tuesday and Wednesday night, so if you want to get a bit of practice in before the season kicks off, then come along and have a hit.
A reminder that Adrienne Young has started up an over 50’s Pool Session in the Pool area every Monday afternoon from 1.30pm to 4pm. Any skill level, beginners welcome. All you have to do is
turn up.
