December 2022 Pool Update

Hi everyone,
Pool has more or less come to an end for the year, with only a few clubs holding summer leagues.
Hornby pool section is holding one on a Tuesday (Open to all grades) and a Wednesday (Div 2 / 3), so if you want to come along and have a hit then please check the details that are on the pool section notice board.
We are also possibly looking at holding a tournament in December and maybe one in January, but we will keep you all posted via the notice board as well as the Hornby Pool Section Facebook page.
We had two tournaments held in November. The annual Asahi Open Pairs was held in Timaru, and this was taken out by our own Club Captain, Richy Whitty and his partner, Devan Bramley (from Richmond). This was Richy’s second pairs tournament he has won this year.
Cashmere also held a div 2 / 3 tournament, and Hornby had a few players turn up. The final was between, Cashmere’s Glenn Ziarno and Hornby’s Steve Duddy, with Glenn coming out victorious. It was great to see so many new faces there.
I hope everyone is starting to get in the Xmas mood, now that December is nearly here, and I hope to see a few of you around the pool tables
