December 2021 Golf Update

Hi All,
On 7 November the section headed away to Rakaia for its annual game for the Kibby White Cup. The weather was ideal for Golf with sun and no wind. The course was presented in great order.
We had 38 players attend the drawn pairs game that was Amercian Foursomes. A popular comment was “I have never played from here before”. The winners were Mike James and Susan Low with a score of 57 nett. Second were Wayne Grubner and Glenda Kingi Hazel on 65.5. Others to do well were Wayne Brewer and Roger Farmer on 67, Pete Halliwell and Janette Benn 70, Bob Harrison and Ricky Herrington 70.5, Marie Mcleod and John Sykes 71. Once again Moggy did a bbq for the troops and as usual it was up to a very high standard (Thanks Moggy).
A bit of bad news, Bob Harrison had major surgery a few months ago. He made a great recovery and now he has gone and broke his leg. Give those lotto tickets a miss Bob. We all wish Bob a speedy recovery.
The sections next game is our Hamper Day at McLean’s Island on 5 December with a 9 am start.
