March 2023: Club Picnic

Well our Club picnic was held on 12 February at the Yaldhurst Primary School and it was lots of fun for all. The weather was on our side with a good turnout.
We had lots of activities for everyone to enjoy including mini jeeps, bouncy castles, large connect four and ice-cream, which we are sure that everyone had at least
one or two. We had Joe and Ricky for music for the day and a big thank you to the Greater Hornby Residents Association for their Noddy Train and the Bikes, each lots of fun.
The kid’s races were for all ages and toys and vouchers were given out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners, but everyone got something.
Now for the Hornby Club Champs. Ladies, congratulations to 1st place Sharyn Jones Johnson, 2nd place Carina McNaught and 3rd Tracy Clinton.
Well then it was time for the men’s, congratulations to 1st place Cory McNaught, 2nd David Pugh and 3rd John Pugh. Well done to all who participated.
Counting the lollies in the jar was very popular. There were 302. Stella Lebreton was closest with 301, 2nd was Esme Pugh with 306 and 3rd was Liliani with 296.
Our stepping competition was popular as well 7.050m. 1st Corina McNaught, 2nd Ricky Bell and 3rd Tina Thompson.
We also had the school pool open with surf lifeguards on patrol to keep everyone above the water.
Finally, we would like to thank everyone that helped out on the day, it was much appreciated.
