Firstly, going back to last month’s Thursday nights.
On 6th of Nov, normal progressive night, 46 players attended. The winner was Dave McKay on 21 pts, with Lesley Bulman and Murray Bennie close behind on 20 pts.
On 13th Nov, we held our 6 Handed Tournament. A fun night with all playing with 3 in their team. We had 48 players on the night. The winners were Cheryl Gianelly, Wayne Scott and Bernie McKenzie only losing one game. Photo attached.
On 20th Nov, again it was a normal progressive night. John Churchill won on 20 pts, with Jackie Cartwright and Mary Nash both on 18 pts.
Going Forward …
We are having our End of Months Pairs on Thurs 27th Nov. This will be our special ‘Christmas wear Bling night’, which some members love to show off their festive pieces. We have prizes to give on the night for dress up, but winning the cards is better still.
We have our final card section activity on Thurs 4th December; it is also our Christmas Hamper night. The night will include trophy presentations, a meal, and then play limited games of euchre. We will then draw numerous Hamper Prizes (those that had good card results on the night) and Raffle Prizes.
Our section group that plays 500, have now been playing for the last six months every Monday afternoon, the numbers are increasing, and the players enjoy the event.
We will have our Cards 500 last afternoon on Mon 8th Dec. and come back to play on Mon 16th Feb next year.
This year we’ve enjoyed a wide array of different card activities, each bringing its own excitement with challenging games, memorable moments, making new friends, and a lot of fun for our section members. We want to express our appreciation for the loyalty from all our card section members.
I would especially like to thank my guys that played up to 15 weeks of Sat Cards, thank you from Lorraine. Your enthusiasm and dedication are what make our Euchre Card Section how great it is.
On behalf of our Card Committee, we wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
We look forward to another year of fun, friendship, and card game activities in our Euchre section and welcome new members to come join us next year.
Please check our Card Section Notice Board, for any latest news over the holiday break.
