August 2025 – Indoor Bowls Update

Well members another month has passed. It will be Christmas before we know it.
Mike King has continued his winning form – winning the Canterbury Championship Pairs with Ann Graham. Congratulations Mike.
John Barltrop, Keren Beckett playing with Julius Thompson won the Allen Petrie Open Triples played recently at Southbrook. Well done.

We had 4 ladies attending, Bev, Keren, Jude and Claire.
Singles – Keren qualified out 1st round after an extra end. Bev qualified – out 2nd Round.
Pairs – Bev and Keren Qualified – out last 16.
Triples – Claire was drawn as a pool player for a Waimea team and was runner-up. This was an awesome achievement in her first ever Ladies Nationals Tournament.
Fours – Qualified – lost in the quarter finals. Great effort.
All four ladies were selected to play in the South Island team against the North Island on Sunday night which the South won by one game. Yeah!
