August 2024 – Travel Update

Hello everyone.
Hopefully everyone has managed to stay reasonably healthy over this very cold winter.
I know there is a lot of flu, bad colds, and covid circulating around us.
On Sunday 25 August, 53 very eager travel members are looking forward to our trip to Mt Potts and Erewhon Station. Departure for this trip will be 8am sharp from the Hornby Club. We will stop for a comfort stop on the way but hopefully we can reach Erewhon by 11am at the latest. We will then be driven around the farm in wagons, pulled by Clydesdales, and will then move to Mt Potts for hot roast and mulled wine.
Our intention is to leave Mt Potts early enough to drive through the back roads in daylight on our journey back to Hornby Club.
We are looking to make plans for mid to late October for our next outing after that.
Our Christmas party will be at the Hornby Club on 7 December. There will be a band for this evening, and supper (not dinner) will be served.
Further details for this will come out later in year.
