April 2026 – Travel Update

Hello to everyone
So, daylight savin g is about to come to an end. We all know what comes after that — shorter days and colder weather, tough on top of an uneventful summer.
Travel Section – Future Events:
Mid Winter Dinner
For those who have their names up, payment is required by 2nd April: $55pp for meal and coaches. Your choice of two course meal is also required. The selection is on the Travel Section notice board. This needs to be pre ordered.
Please forward your choices to Lyn, who will forward them to the chef at Sunshine and Moonlight at Pegasus. This is not a buffet but your own choices.
The date is 13th June and coaches will depart Hornby Club at 5pm. ETA there is 5.45pm, where we can settle down with a drink (at your own cost). Dinner will be served at 7pm and coaches will depart at 9pm to have us back at Hornby Club by 9.45pm.
The final touches for the week long trip south, including the Oyster Festival and across the Foveaux Strait to Stewart Island for a day, are included. This seven day trip departs Hornby Club at 8.30am on Wednesday 20th May. We have 44 members confirmed for this trip. We return on 26th May at approximately 6.30pm.
Travel Section’s next meeting will be the AGM on the 20th April.
