April 2026 – Pool Update

The Interclub season is now in full swing with all teams battling away. Hornby Silver last night (Tuesday 24/3) won their 9th defence of the Andrews Shield — one more and they will be engraved onto it. Best of luck to them.
We have run a couple of in house tournaments to kick the season off: the Hubbard Shield Drawn Pairs and the John Doig Mixed Pairs.
Roger Tarry and Leo Tafu had a win for the Harry Hubbard, and Leo, again, with Aileen Barnes took out the Mixed Pairs. Numbers made both tournaments relatively strong with a high standard, so well done to all involved. At worst it was a good bit of fun pool; at best there were some really good performances.
Next up in house are the Jan May Memorial Ladies Open on 19th April and the Jamie Reece B Grade Singles on the 10th May.
