April 2026 – Outdoor Bowls Update

On Sunday 29th March 22 section members got off the coach at Diamond Harbour and Bays Bowling Club., dispite the day being over cast and coolish the member’s competed in teams of four. There was some outstanding bowls played with the usual banter and ribbing given amongst themselves. It was very pleasing to see the smiles and laughter especially when There was a wrong bias and the board wasn’t cleaned. We won’t name that person Will we JA?
We also had a number of supporters watching from the clubhouse. Diamond harbour put on a great lunch, then it was back to the rinks for the afternoon session. Again more banter and laughter with background music provided by The host club proved for a very entertaining afternoon.the day rounded out with afternoon tea and the winning team of Dick Wagg, Steve Hawkins James Aldridge and Ivan Swain took back Bragging rights.
The next event will be Sunday 26th at Riccarton Racecourse.
