April 2023 Pool Update

Hi everyone,
I hope that everyone is keeping well as we tend to fly through the months.
Interclub for Division 1 and 3 is well under way and we have Premiers and Division 2 kicking off in early April and all teams are starting off well so let’s hope this carries on through the season.
Canterbury held their annual Early Bird Open Singles last month, at Richmond and Hornby again was well represented.
In the main event we had four make the quarter finals, with John Renwick making it to the semi-finals but unfortunately going down to the eventual winner in Mitch Gourlay from Richmond. In the main flight, John Gower took this out over another Richmond player in Kyri Michaelides.
We have also just held another in house tournament with the Jamie Reece B Grade taking place. This was taken out by Peter Arona over Margo Kingi. I want to thank all of those that came along to play. I see we have some very handy players coming along, which is great.
The next tournament is the Molly Memorial Drawn Scotch Pairs. It will be held early April, so I will report back on this next time.
