April 2021 Pool Update

Well February was a strange month with Covid and everything, but I hope you managed to stay safe and well during this period.
By the time this newsletter comes out, Interclub would have started for some divisions (Div 1 and 2) Div 3 and our Premier teams kick off at the end of March, so I will give an update on how all teams are going next month.
Tournaments that were held in February were our Mixed and our Drawn Pairs. These were taken out by John Renwick and Sherralee Boyce (Mixed Pairs) winning over Barbara Knowler and Tom McNaught. Clare Shanaher and Tom McNaught (Drawn Pairs) winning over Leo Tafu and Paul Eastmond.

In March we have another two tournaments that I will report on next month, the 2021 Early Bird Open Singles being held at Woolston and our in-house Josie Bodger Memorial Div 2 / 3 singles.
If you have not already paid your pool subs, these are now due for the 2021 season. There are envelopes near the pool section box so please try to get these paid as soon as you can.
Also, there are tournaments coming up most months going forward, so please keep an eye out on the pool section notice board, as well as the Hornby Pool Section Facebook page so you do not miss out on anything.
