April 2021 Golf Update

Hello all
The Golf Section headed out to Greendale on the 14th of last month. The course was in most parts very dry and that created plenty of run, but also some strange bounces. The match of the day was Stableford. The main winners were Wayne Scott 40pts, Paul Obrien 40pts, Warren Farrelly 39pts, Pete Middlemiss and Andrew Ataera both 38pts. Janette Benn 38pts topped the ladies grade from Glenda Kingi Hazel on 35pts.
The Men’s Nationals that were to be held in Nelson have been cancelled due to Covid 19 restrictions. The Section’s next game is at the beautiful Waimakariri Gorge Golf Club on 11 April with a 9am start.
There is a sheet up at Hornby Club, just enter and turn up at 8 30 am. The draw in on the board on the Wednesday prior to the Tournament.
NEW MEMBERS MOST WELCOME.
The scenery alone is worth a look.
