April 2021 Fishing Update

Hello all
We’ve all been enjoying the good weather and getting out there, when we can, trying to catch the “Big One”. Someone caught an old ‘Jack’ in the Twizel/ Tekapo canal with a mouth that equaled the rest of his body length. Unfortunately it wasn’t one of our members.
Recently, 30 of us traveled to Balclutha for the S.I. Clubs NZ Trout competition where the fish were basically non existent, well for the fisher people anyway. However, a good social time was had by us all.
We are all geared up for our annual L Brunner Competion on the second weekend of April 9-10, as last years was canceled due to COVID-19. We are all hanging out for this years as it always a great weekend both fishing and socially.
Our next meeting is the AGM to be held on 14 April when we will be looking for a new Chairperson and Treasurer so we are hoping for a good attendance, a nice supper will follow.
