July 2023 Cribbage Update

Kia Ora, hello,
Well, the year is passing fast with some great frosts at the moment, we have just started our Aggregate for Crib. This runs for six weeks with the best five totalled together. We have decided as a committee to bring back the 19s which always creates a more competitive environment because no one likes 19s! There is also no limit, if you have a bad night bad luck, there’s always next week.
We have been getting great numbers on Wednesday night. We had Caren and Julie go off the board which is a fantastic effort, well done. On Friday 9 June
we had an All Sports on Dumbo Hampton the Crib team placed second and we had another combined team with Euchre which placed third a bloody fantastic effort. I would like to encourage all sections to work together and try make these nights bigger and better! I would like to thank all the helpers on the night and the All Sports committee for an awesome night. I think the catering set up is primo, it allows more socialising.
We had a progressive tournament on Sunday 18 June, Jeff from Kaiapoi won with Derek, Diane and Steve all second equal . Well done on those results.
