March 2022 Outdoor Bowls Update

With the first game of the year being cancelled due to the weather our February match was played at Bowls Hornby.
Even with an overcast day, this did not stop a very good turnout of members with the best team of the day being the John Bowley skipped team with Christine Payne, Peter Sutcliff and Bill Stephenson from the Dereck Owles team with Norah Craik, Diane Owles and Leona Williams.
In other section news, the team of D Levers, L Jarvis, J Aldridge and G Hill were Runner-up in the Second division of the SI Chartered Clubs annual tournament held at Oamaru. (Pictured)
Our next game is the coach trip to Coalgate, names for this event close on 14 March. Members wishing to play must place their names on the flyer at the Hornby Club or contact myself.
