July 2021 Darts Update

Friday 2 Jul, 2021

We are almost halfway through the 2021 Dart’s Winter season.

It is nice to see all our yellow and black shirts down at the Club on Wednesday nights and when other Club’s come to see our facilities. We look forward to more boards when the second phase of the redevelopment is completed. This will mean we can enjoy some more home games at Hornby Club, rather than our second home Templeton RSA.

This month the Alf Franklin President’s International was held with almost a sea of Hornby Club players. Congrats to all those who were selected, especially Sarah Pitama for being the furthest lady and Kayden Milne for his third equal placing overall.

Many of our players are off to Timaru on Saturday in representative teams to play Timaru and Oamaru. A bus will collect Hornby players at 8.15am and return at 8pm.

We have been discussing in our meetings, next year’s South Island and National tournaments to be held at Hornby. John Poole will be Looking for assistance from volunteers to help, especially during the Nationals next July. If anyone who would like to volunteer for driving duties, raffles, clearing tables etc, please be in touch as we would love the assistance.

Thanks, in advance.
