December 2021 Fishing Update

You should really join the fishing section, we had one of the best fishing weekends for many a year at Twizel on the 6 and 7 of November. The weather was just incredible, with Mt Cook cloudless for the whole weekend. Nineteen members made the journey, with plenty of fish caught.
Jason Smith who has been competing in this competition for the last eight years finally got to win the Twizel Trophy. Jason has produced the winner on his boat five times. Martin, Devon, Jason, Lawrie, Doug and Arthur have all over the years taken members out on their boats. Daniel Macdonald won it one year from the shore.
On Saturday evening we headed for the Twizel Combined Club to wash down a few tales and have our prize giving with a meal in their Bistro. This year we had our own musicians Colin Henderson and Jeff Bell to entertain us.
We extend to the Club Members, Management and their families a Very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. We will see you all in the New Year.
