April 2022 Outdoor Bowls Update

Finally, the coach trip to Coalgate went ahead.
A good day was enjoyed by a good number of members. Changing times meant the coach was not full, but with light at the end of the tunnel our next trip should
be back to a full coach. Thanks to Shane from NZ Touring Ltd, for working around our section needs and driving the coach on the day.
Coalgate Bowling Club host
us once a year and never fail to supply a great day out with their good green, excellent food and keeping us well watered. Thanks to the Coalgate Bowling Club and all its helpers.
Being slightly down in numbers, a couple of locals helped make up the teams and they also showed us how to play bowls with two being in the winning team being skipped by Greg Hill, Les and Tracy Fickling (Coalgate) and Frances Streetley from the las Jarvis team with Steve Hawkins, Syd Payne and Bruce Craik.
Next month’s game is at the Racecourse Bowling Club, set down for Easter Sunday but this may change so keep an eye on our notice board at the Club. It will be a 10.30 start.
